Born and raised in Tofino & Ucluelet, Ryan had an unconventional upbringing, always deeply connected to the ocean. As a child, he commercially fished salmon with his parents and four siblings, all living aboard a wooden troller his dad built by hand.

After guiding for 14 years, Ryan now operates his own vessel and continues the legacy that his father started many years ago.
