FAQ

  • DO I NEED A FISHING LICENSE?

Yes! Licenses are NOT provided and must be purchased prior to your trip. Please click here to obtain your BC Tidal Waters Sport Fishing License.

Note: you must also purchase a Salmon Stamp if fishing for Salmon.

Your license MUST be printed out and in your possession while fishing and transporting your catch.

  • What do I need to bring?

Please bring your fishing licenses, warm clothing/layers, non slip shoes/rubber boots, jacket, hat and any snacks/drinks. Feel free to bring binoculars and cameras as well. We also recommend bringing a cooler for your catch if driving back home. If you are prone to sea sickness, you may want to bring medication as well.

  • WHERE IS THE BOAT LOCATED?

We are located at the Small Craft Harbour in Ucluelet, BC at 200 Hemlock St. The charter boat is located on the main dock, in front of the third finger. You will see the name Cameron Ocean Adventures on the side of the vessel. There is free parking for your vehicle at the marina.

  • What happens with our catch?

The majority of our guests get their catch processed locally at Ukee Seafood and Fishpak. Your guide will clean your catch and then you can bring it to the processor to be filleted, portioned, vacuum packed, frozen, and stored until pick up. They can also provide airline-approved flight packs for guests traveling by air. Your catch will be ready for pick up the day after you drop it off to be processed (overnight turnaround time).

  • What is provided?

All fishing gear is included in your charter. Safety equipment such as Mustang Survival life jackets are provided for guests of all ages. A Bluetooth speaker is provided for guests to pair their device to if desired. We also have several wool blankets aboard if needed.

  • can I bring alcohol/smokables?
